Summary: This round table will address issues of rural education and social movements in the countryside based on the discussions held by researchers working in the state of Pará. The experience of rural education today in the south and southeast of Pará is, in a sense, the result of the struggle for land by rural workers since the 1970s. In this region, according to INCRA data, there are 505 Settlement Projects with some 80,000 families in an area of more than 4 million hectares. The debate around the education of the field and the experiences that have been experienced since the implantation of the courses of Agricultural Technician and Agroecology and Degree in Field Education, by alternation, in the Rural Campus of IFPA and UNIFESSPA, among others, is the result of the struggle for land tenure, with support from various entities. In the roundtable discussions, we will also share research results in this region of the state, explaining the protagonist references of the actors that make up the Paraense Forum of Field Education, social movements in the countryside, universities, and sectors of public power (state and municipal). It will also be discussed the precariousness of the educational reality faced by the subjects of the field and the positioning regarding the regulation that is established in the relation of the populations and social movements of the field with the State and the universities on the occasion of the implementation of the policies of education of the field at present. Likewise, processes for the materialization of the UNIFESSPA Full Degree Course in Field Education will be presented, focusing, in particular, on the historical partner contexts of the formation of the students, made possible by the alternation of time-spaces of formation, under the guidance of the following questions: what meanings does the course produce for training policies and processes? How the course contributes to the consolidation of a field of knowledge formulated in the tension that feeds and drives the project of training teachers of the field.
