Coordinator: Profa. Dr. Silvani dos Santos Valentim (CEFET-MG)
Summary: This working group aims to deepen, in an interdisciplinary perspective, the theme Racial-Ethnic Relations, Labor, and Education. It is through the culture that human beings give meaning to their actions as an act that goes beyond a system of customs because it is the subject of human intervention. Ethnicity and racial relations enable us to refine our understanding of how diversity is present in educational institutions, in the workplace, and society. Above all is an opportunity for questioning exclusionary, discriminatory, and racist practices. This working group brings together researchers on education, culture, and race relations in traditional communities, black and indigenous communities, quilombolas, fishermen, and coastal communities, among others, in its interface with labor and education, and under vocational and technological education.
